C. D. Smith, a Meridian trustee, is now the chair of the board committee charged with finding a new president for Jackson State University. During Thursday’s monthly meeting, Douglas W. Rouse (IHL board president) announced the appointment. Dr. Rod Paige will serve as interim president of JSU while the next president is chosen.
