The Council is an independent, national group that provides advocacy, leadership, and technical support on important educational issues. The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the business affairs of the group. It also serves as the governing body of this organization. Wright stated, “It is an honor to be elected to this new position for CCSSO. I look forward to working closely with state education chiefs across America to develop strategies to increase student achievement.” Wright is a member since March of the CCSSO board of directors.
