Head Start centers have ‘outsized role’ in rural Mississippi, report finds

According to The Hechinger Report’s Mississippi Learning newsletter, Head Start centers account for one-third the available center-based child-care programs in Mississippi’s most rural areas. They provide critical child care services, access health care, and early intervention services that children might not get otherwise.
