Wayne General is the closest hospital to the city. Anderson Regional Medical Center is in Meridian. Sullivan could also travel the approximately one-hour journey to Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg – 62 km from Waynesboro – if Wayne General was not available. Financial factors are used to determine the risks. This was determined in an analysis done by Navigant, a management consulting firm. This essay is a collaboration between former patients, staff and family members of patients in the state.
