Judge extends order blocking ban on abortions

Gov. Phil Bryant signed the law on March 19, the most stringent in the United States. Right away, the state’s only abortion clinic Jackson Women’s Health Clinic sued the state. Reeves issued an interim restraining order March 20, to temporarily block the law for ten days. Reeves extended the temporary restraining order until Wednesday, giving the state and clinic attorneys more time to prepare legal arguments. You can read more about the abortion bill by clicking here.
