The Daily Journal reports that Brandon Presley, Northern District Public Service Commissioner, hopes to create a rural broadband model for Alabama. This will allow Marion County residents access to high-speed Internet. Presley reported that a bill was being prepared in Mississippi that would allow electric power companies to create subsidiaries to provide broadband service for rural areas.
