This episode of Mississippi Stories features Ki Harris, Executive Director for Freedom Project Network. Ki knew that he wanted the Freedom Project Network to help others from the moment he received his diploma. He knew he wanted to teach, and the Atlanta native ended up teaching in Mississippi thanks to Teach For America. His football players and English students knew him as Coach Ki. He quickly realized that his students were eager to learn. His love for giving back led him to his next position: Director of College Access and Experimental Learning at Sunflower County Freedom Project. Ki is currently the Executive of Freedom Project Network, which supports and ties together the Sunflower County Freedom Projects, Meridian Freedom Projects, and Rosedale Freedom Projects.
