Nic Lott Bio

He was a former U.S. Senate Majority leader Trent Lott (no relationship). J.C. Watts was a Congressman who interned at the White House during President George W. Bush’s administration. Lott was the director of youth outreach in Haley Barbour’s 2003 gubernatorial election campaign. After Barbour’s win, Lott joined Barbour’s administration as senior advisor for communications and public safety for the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Lott is currently the director of special compliance operations in Gov. Phil Bryant is the administrator. He serves on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights state Advisory Committee, the boards of Congress of Racial Equality and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mississippi and Mississippi Community Education Center and the University of Mississippi Central Alumni Board.
