Let’s hear your thoughts: The Confederate battle emblem was removed from the Mississippi state flag until July 2020 when lawmakers voted to make it a museum. To remove the state flag, a commission was created to choose a new design for Mississippi. The Mississippi voters would approve or reject the design on the November 2020 ballot. The Mississippi Flag Commission printed five final designs and flew them at the Old Capitol in Jackson on Aug. 25. Two finalists were selected by the commission. A single design will be chosen by the commission on Sept. 2, to go before voters for consideration on November ballot.
