Foster received his B.B.A. from the University of Mississippi in 2005. Foster returned to Hernando in 2005 to take over Cedar Hill Farm, his parents’ agritourism company. Foster was previously president of the Southern Christmas Tree Association and was awarded the 2012 Conservationist of Year award by the DeSoto County Soil and Water Conservation District. Foster’s experiences as a small-business owner influenced his political efforts and helped him to achieve his goals. He is Vice Chair of Accountability, Efficiency, Transparency Committee. He is also a member the Agriculture, Constitution, Local and Private Legislation, Municipalities, Transportation, and Workforce Development Committees. In 2017, the Clarion Ledger listed Foster among the “Top 35 and Below Politicians and Politicos of Mississippi”. Conservative groups like the Business and Industry Political Education Committee and Americans for Prosperity gave Foster high marks for his business-friendly and limited government voting record. In 2016, and 2017, he was named “Champion of Freedom” by Americans for Prosperity. American Conservative Union Foundation awarded Foster their “Award for Conservative Excellence” in 2016, 2017 and 2018. In 2018, they also gave him their “Award for Conservative Achievement”. Foster is a member and Eagle Scout of Ducks Unlimited, the NRA, and Ducks Unlimited. Foster is married to Heather, his high school sweetheart.
