ROTC units plan Egg Bowl run for Monday

According to a press release by Mississippi State University, Army ROTC cadets will transport a football from Starkville and Oxford. They will leave MSU at 4:30 AM and arrive in Oxford Monday evening. The ball will be carried by Mississippi State Army ROTC Cadets from Starkville through Calhoun City. They will then hand it off to Ole Miss Army ROTC Cadets for the final leg of the 100-mile journey. According to Lt. Col. Brian Locke of Mississippi State, military science professor, cadets used a game ball to Jackson back when the Egg Bowl was held. The Egg Bowl Run returned to life in 2013, after a long absence.
