Nave is a 1996 Alcorn State graduate with a bachelor’s in chemistry. She is currently the Provost for North Carolina Central University and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Nave will assume the reins of Alcorn State starting July 1. “Dr. “Dr. “Dr. Nave has held positions of progressive responsibility and provided leadership in all aspects of the university including academic program offerings and research activity. She also managed budgets and fundraising activities. She also led student services including recruitment, financial aid, and student success. Hooper, who is also the chair of the Board Search Committee to the Alcorn State University Presidential Search, said that they were very happy to have her back at Alcorn.
