Civil rights activist James Meredith announces plans to open museum

Meredith stated that the project was announced at a press conference to fulfill a long-held dream to “help uplift moral character in families and to develop leadership skills for kids.” The museum will open in the second half of 2021, he said. The museum will be at 217 W. Griffith Street, Jackson. Meredith stated that the museum is a multimillion-dollar project and that the nonprofit it will operate under, James H.
