Supreme Court Justice Michael Randolph will have heart surgery

The court announced today that Michael K. Randolph (presiding justice) will undergo open heart surgery in the latter part of this month. Randolph, who is 69 years old, had trouble breathing recently and will have two of his leaking heart valves repaired. He previously had triple bypass surgery in 2006. Randolph, 69, is expected to resume his duties in January after he has recovered at Hattiesburg.
