Furr was one of six boys selected to join the U.S. team with six girls. They played two foursomes matches on Monday, and then finished with singles play today. To retain the Junior Ryder Cup, the Americans must win five of the twelve singles matches today. Furr, along with his future Alabama teammate Davis Shore, of Knoxville, Tenn. beat Marcus Svensson, of Sweden, and Kristoffer Reitan, of Norway. Furr won the match with only three holes remaining. Furr and Emillia Milaccio, both from Raleigh, N.C., teamed up with Pauline Roussin Bouuchard and Adrienne Pendaries to beat the French team. Today’s singles match will see Furr playing Jonathan Goth-Rasmussen from Denmark. Furr won three out of the four first holes and was able to move three up.
