What to know about Mississippi Senate Bill 2113

Senate Bill 2113 would ban public schools from forcing students to believe any race, sex or religion is superior. This was due to mischaracterizations of critical racism theory. It will be sent straight to the Governor if it passes the House with no modifications. Tate Reeves will sign it. Mississippi will become the 14th state to prohibit or limit critical race theory teaching once it is signed into law. Mississippi Today’s episode of MT Speaks focuses on the controversy surrounding the theory as well as what politicians have to say. READ MORE: Mississippi’s only class on critical racism theory
