Fitch received both her Bachelor of Business Administration as well as her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Mississippi. Fitch was appointed by the former governor in 2009. Haley Barbour was the executive director of Mississippi State Personnel Board. Prior to that, she was deputy executive director at Mississippi Department of Employment Security and counsel to the House of Representatives Ways and Means and Local and Private Legislation Committees. Fitch was honored by Governing magazine as a 2015 Honoree in the Women in Government Leadership Program. Fitch has been honored by the Mississippi Bar Association as a Woman Trailblazer and received the Susie Blue Buchanan award from the Women in the Profession Committee of the Mississippi Bar Association in 2017. Fitch is a member of Madison United Methodist Church with her family.
